How have you been?
ABOUT THIS BLOG:
I've been busy these last few years, working on things not related to M.O.D.M., and doing the whole family thing. This blog fell by the wayside, not because I didn't enjoy doing it, but more simply because I couldn't commit the appropriate amount of time to it that I felt was necessary. One of these days, maybe, this blog will return to its former glory. I still have ideas!
MORE SAD NEWS: 2017 marked the passing of two "Centaur Comics" greats.
Bob Lubbers passed away on July 8, 2017 at the age of 95. Lubbers did quite a bit of work for the company, most notably working on The Arrow after Paul Gustavson had moved on to bigger & better paying comic jobs, as well as supplying art to the lesser-known Red Riley and Reef Kinkaid features.
A few days later, on July 12th, Sam Glanzman passed at the age of 92. Sam worked on quite a few stories with his brother Louis (who passed away in July of 2013) featuring Amazing-Man under the "Sam Decker" pseudonym.
WHAT HAPPENED TO "MY GOLDEN AGE COMICS" PAGE:
Here's a fun bit of news. I had been using a site called "4shared" to host my comic & humor digest files, and the links to those files were collected on a separate page of this blog entitled "My Golden Age Comics". 4shared had a requirement that included logging into the site once every 90 days or else any files I was trying to share would be deleted. One day, I logged-in and noticed a message from 4shared that stated someone had claimed copyright ownership of several of my files, and that the "infringing files" had been removed from the site. Keep in mind that I checked the copyright status of every single book I was sharing, and I confidently determined that every single book was copyright-free, aka "Public Domain". So, there you go, some jerk ruined it for everyone, and this is why we can't have nice things.
